Visualization is a powerful tool in helping us to achieve our goals. No matter what goal you have, there is a way to use visualization to help you get there. Let’s start by defining what this therapeutic tool is. Visualization is the act of intentionally imagining something that has to do with that goal. I know, sounds pretty generic, huh? That’s because there are so many different ways to visualize a goal when working toward achieving it. For this post, I will focus on two kinds that I have found to be very helpful for my clients;
Now that you visualized these scenarios, what’s next? Don’t just leave this practice and move on with life. Use this tool daily. Visualization is so powerful in achieving our goals. Make it part of your daily routine and be open to these scenarios that you have visualized to be a possibility for you. When you’re ready, start playing with the characteristics you gave this person who achieved your goal. Start experimenting and acting as though you possess these characteristics. It will feel weird at first, but keep with it. You don’t have to go all in immediately, just baby steps. You will be surprised what this, combined with being open to manifestations in your life will do for you. Remember visualization can help you achieve any goal whether its small like waking up earlier or big like Eating Disorder recovery, it can help! I hope you found this video helpful! If you know anyone else who may benefit from it, please share it with them. If you have any questions, concerns or requests for future posts, please leave a comment or message me privately.
