When Food, Body Image, or Trauma Feel Like They’re Running Your Life
You may look fine on the outside — functioning, successful, holding it together — but internally food, body image, or unresolved hurt feel exhausting and consuming. You’ve tried to manage it on your own. You may have tried therapy before - and something still feels stuck.
You want relief — not another temporary fix. You want to feel steady, confident, and in control of your life again. But part of you worries that real change means facing things you’ve been avoiding.

How Specialized Therapy Moves You Forward
Eating disorders and trauma rarely exist in isolation. They are often tied to control, perfectionism, nervous system patterns, and deeper experiences that haven’t been processed fully. My work focuses on understanding those patterns — not just managing symptoms.
I work with teens and adults who are ready for more than coping skills. Together, we look at the roots of the struggle — whether that’s trauma, anxiety, identity, or control — and build sustainable change. My goal is not just symptom relief, but long-term stability and self-trust.
If this sounds familiar, let’s talk.

Online Therapy FAQs

I am a private-pay practice and do not work directly with insurance companies. This allows us to focus on highly personalized, specialized care without the limitations or requirements that often come with insurance-based treatment. If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, I can provide documentation (a superbill) for potential reimbursement.
-
Specialized therapy is often the right fit if you’ve tried to “manage” your symptoms before — through willpower, self-help, or even prior therapy — and still feel stuck. If food, body image, trauma, anxiety, or control patterns feel deeply rooted rather than situational, working with a specialist can help address the underlying drivers rather than just surface behaviors.
-
The consultation is a brief, no-pressure conversation where we discuss what’s bringing you in, what you’re looking for, and whether my approach feels aligned with your needs. You’ll have space to ask questions and determine whether moving forward together makes sense.

The length of therapy varies depending on your goals and the complexity of what you’re working through. Some clients seek short-term, focused support, while others benefit from longer-term work to address deeper patterns. During our consultation, we can discuss what might be most appropriate for you.
