Specialized Virtual Therapy for Eating Disorders, Trauma, Body Image Concerns, Anxiety, and Perfectionism in New York and Florida
My Approach to Therapy
I believe that symptoms make sense.
While eating disorders, body image concerns, perfectionism, anxiety, and trauma can create significant distress, they often develop for a reason. Many of the behaviors people struggle with begin as attempts to cope, protect themselves, manage overwhelming emotions, regain a sense of control, or navigate difficult life experiences.
Many clients come to therapy feeling frustrated that they cannot simply "stop" a behavior, change a thought pattern, or move on from an experience. Rather than focusing only on symptom reduction, I work collaboratively with clients to understand the emotional, behavioral, and relational patterns that may be maintaining their struggles.
Together, we explore not only what is happening, but why it may be happening.
My goal is to help clients build healthier, more sustainable ways of responding to life's challenges while creating meaningful change that extends far beyond symptom management.
Why I Believe in Early Intervention
One of the most common statements I hear is:
"I don't think I'm sick enough for therapy."
Many individuals delay seeking support because they believe their struggles are not serious enough or that they should be able to manage them on their own. This is especially common among people who are highly functioning, successful, and accustomed to pushing through difficult situations.
I believe therapy should not be reserved for moments of crisis.
Whether you are experiencing a long-standing eating disorder, beginning to notice concerning patterns, struggling with body image and self-worth, coping with anxiety, or working through the effects of trauma, you deserve support.
Seeking help earlier often creates more opportunities for healing, growth, and lasting recovery.
What It's Like to Work Together
Clients often describe me as warm, supportive, honest, and direct.
I strive to create a therapeutic environment that is both compassionate and productive—a place where you can be fully honest about what you are experiencing without fear of judgment while also feeling supported and challenged to move toward meaningful change.
Because every individual brings unique experiences, strengths, and goals into therapy, I believe treatment should never follow a one-size-fits-all approach. My work is collaborative, individualized, and grounded in evidence-based practices that are tailored to your specific needs.
Whether we are addressing eating disorder recovery, trauma, body image concerns, anxiety, or perfectionism, my goal is to help you better understand yourself while developing practical skills that support long-term emotional well-being.
I consider it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they work toward healing, recovery, and a more balanced relationship with themselves.
Areas of Specialization
Eating Disorders
I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders across a range of presentations, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, ARFID, disordered eating, chronic dieting, and concerns related to food, weight, and body image.
Trauma and PTSD
Traumatic experiences can continue to affect emotional well-being, relationships, self-esteem, and daily functioning long after the event itself has passed. Trauma therapy can help process these experiences while developing greater emotional resilience and stability.
Body Image and Body Dysmorphia
Many individuals struggle with persistent body dissatisfaction, self-criticism, and appearance-related distress. Together, we work toward building a more balanced and compassionate relationship with your body and yourself.
Anxiety and Perfectionism
Perfectionism and anxiety often create cycles of pressure, self-criticism, avoidance, and emotional exhaustion. Therapy can help develop greater flexibility, self-compassion, and confidence while reducing the burden of unrealistic expectations.
